My Wizard of Oz series was published by Stampington Co. in their Somerset Studio Gallery, Winter 2017 publication!  
​Yes, I realize that this blog post is several months over due.... Yikes :)

I will admit that I get overwhelmed about where best to spend my time.  Ideally,  it would be painting in my studio, but with websites, blogging, social media, etsy, Society6, etc. etc., I can lose focus on what my personal and art goals are.  There are only so many hours in the day, and often the hours get eaten up with tasks that are not very productive.

Here's a peek into my process:

I picked a limited palette for these pieces.  Partially to challenge myself (it is fun to see what you can create with only 4-5 colors) and also to keep the canvases working well together.  The second and third photo are simply adding many different layers of paint.

More photos showing my work in progress and also how I painted the two long canvases as one piece.... don't forget to add some fun details to the sides of your canvas!
